Adidas apologized in Tuesday after the brand use a terrible choice of words in a email. The sports apparel company Adidas sent out an email to their customers with”Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!”The word survived obviously led to backlash as customers reminded the company about Boston Marathon bombings in 2013,when more the 260 people were injured and 3 people were killed.
“We are incredibly sorry,” it reads. “Clearly, there was no thought given to the insensitive email subject line we sent Tuesday.Adidas deeply apologize for their mistake. The Boston Marathon is one of the most inspirational sporting events in the world. Every year we’re reminded of the hope and resiliency of the running community at this event.”
